Friends of the Library

The main library in downtown Bristol was built in 2006, but in some ways its promise is still to be realized. It still needs a vibrant, active, supportive
Friends of the Library to:

-Provide volunteers for library programs- The Literacy Academy, The Gift Shop, story time and enrichment activities for children and youth, and special events such as the Discovery Series.
-Get involved in the library committees to provide community input- One Community, One Book, Children’s Programming, Teen Programming, Literacy Academy, and Gallery and Exhibits.
-Provide citizen advocates to speak on behalf of the library to: City Councils, State Officials, U.S. Government Officials, Media, and Civic Clubs.

If you’re interested in joining the Friends of the Library, stop by the library to pick up a form from the Reference or Circulation Desk.  Annual dues are $5.
